Bottomless onion pie – recipe

The recipe for the onion cake without a base is great, because the juicy and very spicy cake is easy to re-bake. Try it!

500 G Onions
1 Tbsp Vegetable oil
4th Pc Eggs, size M
170 ml milk
130 G Flour
220 G Mountain cheese, grated
150 G Bacon, diced
1 prize salt
1 prize Pepper, black, ground
1 TL Butter, for the mold
1 Tbsp Breadcrumbs, for the mold

recipe preparation

  1. First peel and dice the onions. Then heat the oil in a pan, add the onion cubes and sweat golden yellow for about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Then mix the cubes of bacon with the onions and set the pan aside.
  3. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C top and bottom heat. Grease a springform pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  4. Next, beat the eggs in a bowl and whisk, then stir in the milk. Sieve the flour into the egg milk and stir everything well.
  5. Then add the grated cheese and the onion mixture, season with salt and pepper and stir all the ingredients together again.
