Choc Chip Shortbread Recipe: Is it As Delicious As It Sounds?

Choc Chip Shortbread Recipe is one of my all-time favourites. It is important to go back to basics sometimes and remember why we love cooking. Choc Chip Shortbread Recipe

Preheat oven to 170C (190C non fan)
150g Softened Butter (preferably unsalted)
60g Caster Sugar
230g Plain Flour
1/2 tsp Salt (but not if you have salted butter)
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
20g Choc Chips chopped

This is a pretty straightforward recipe, even if it only has four ingredients. You mix all your ingredients, and then you roll out your dough.

To prevent the dough from drying out, you should use a floured setting if you’re using a pastry shell or flour blend.

To make sure your choc chips stick better, place them in the freezer. Mix the ingredients and then roll them out onto a greased baking sheet.
Choc Chip Cookies freezes well in most cases, and they are so delicious that you want to make them again.

To enhance the crispiness of the crust, you can add apple cider to the recipe. It is amazing how fast these delicious cookies bake – they usually only take about twenty minutes total.
